Hello Bronco sport people
Just switched to a Bronco Sport BB 2025 from a, sorry to say, Chevy. I still have an 81 Corvette so I am not rid of the GMs yet. This 25 Big Bend I purchased is making me a Ford guy again (knock wood I hope some of the earlier issues are ironed out). I have been reading this sight for a while and found everyone to be very helpful so I registered today and I look forward to interacting with you all from time to time.

I’m thinking about changing the stock battery to a AGM type battery
I’m taking a 1500 round mile trip at the end of the month and I would hate to possibly have an issue on the road. Anyone change to an AGM without having a battery issue?

All these battery issues (especially in the 1.5L) have me thinking about going to an AGM battery before possible issues. No guarantee the issue won’t happen with an AGM battery but it seems virtually no issues with the AGM. It’s a terrible feeling knowing the issues the stock battery has in many cases here.
I’m taking a 1500 round mile trip at the end of the month and I would hate to possibly have an issue on the road. Anyone change to an AGM without having a battery issue?

2023 OuterBanks 1.5L. Has 38K miles. Just got home from a 520 mile roadtrip. 2 days later, deader than a doornail. Jumped it and started right up. Hooked up my scan tool and was at 11.59 volts. Decided to pull the battery for replacement and was surprised to see a Enhanced Flooded Battery. I was under the impression it would be an AGM due to the auto stop start. Transmission issues – any suggestions?
• Transmission takes time to shift into reverse (R light on dial blinks and then it jolts into gear).
• When slowing down in Normal drive mode, it has a large jolt when it reaches 25 mph. In Sport mode, that jolt is at 45mph.
• Engine luggs at 1200 or less RPM (Normal drive mode) when driving through parking lots or at low speed in town. I have to drive in Sport mode in town to prevent…
