Tax Season!

How excited/terrified are you?

Filed my taxes this morning, earliest I’ve ever managed. Would’ve gotten it done a week ago, but Social Security doesn’t allow for download of 1099’s until February 1st each year. Hell, even DFAS makes them available in December.

Pretty good refund this year, even better next year. I don’t want to change withholding until SWSBO’s SS checks have been coming in for a full year, and she won’t start collecting until June.

For the time being I guess I’ll still…

5 button key fob ‘25 big bend

I want to purchase 2x 5 button key fobs for my ‘25 BS BB. Remote start works in ford pass but I want the option to use my keys as well. The 5 button fob part number 164-R8288 says it’s for the 21-24 BS.

do we know if this fob will also work with the ‘25 I can’t think of a reason why it wouldn’t but I wanted to check before pulling the trigger on the purchase.

Trip report from Costa Rica

Just returned from a fantastic week on Costa Rica! While I was not able to secure a bronco sport for my rental, I did see a substantial presence of BS vehicles all around the country. Interesting aspect, most all of them were tan in color and from what I could tell were outer Banks trim lines.

2025 Big Bend— What happens to heat/A/C/defrost if the screen stops working?

Apologies if this has already been asked, but I have a systems question.
I’m looking at a new 2025 Bronco Sport Big Bend with the touchscreen climate controls and no knobs, and have a systems question.

If the touchscreen were to freeze, go dark, or otherwise stop responding:

• Does the heat / A/C / defrost continue operating at whatever setting it was already on?
• Or does climate control stop functioning when the screen stops working until you can get the screen interface rebooted or…

I have been to busy but after a couple weeks of owning this Bronco Sport Bigbend 2025 I got to take it on a short trip. So, I put it in cruise and the vehicle basically steered for me and corrected the steering as soon as the vehicle was not exactly in the center of the hwy.

I never realized or read anything on this feature before I bought it. So, is this what I’m experiencing that it will correct and actually drive for you if it is needed. I know not to rely on it and still never take…

Power Steering Failure

I did a Forum search and came up empty. My wife’s BS had a power assist Failure notification and she lost power steering. She was by our Daughter’s so stopped and went there for about an hour. When she came out and started it up, the problem was gone.
A week later, she went out to use it and same problem before she left the driveway, let it rest and tried again, no luck.
Anyone have this and what was the fix?
