Just curious who was the rocket scientist that chose to make the gear indicator light

the same color as all of the warning lights on the dash. I.E. Low tire pressure, check engine light etc. Everytime I scan the instrument panel my eye catches the “orange-yellow” light. Maybe I’ll get used to it based on it’s location. WTFK
