Fuel injector leak.. recall update
They all, including the drain tube, PCM updates etc used the code letter ” S ” in the recall number. To me, that means a safety issue that must be fixed by Ford.
Today I asked my dealer for a status.
Surprise !!!!
All the old recalls using the S have been discontinued ( or something ) and the new recall number is 22N18. Of course , the N means ” we…
Ford has demolished a small forest to send me ( and everyone else ) paperwork regarding recalls for the fuel injector leak.

The Big Bend deserves a second chance.

2024, 44k miles. I’m in it $13k.
Just got my new hood from Vicrez. I set the bare black hood on top of the front end just to see what it would look like. I kind of like it. I’m thinking about painting the hood black, and then running black vinyl down the beltline below the windows. Black vinyl on the roof too. Alternatively I might do Carbon Grey to match the wheels and the…
I love the Bronco Sport. I just picked up this guy to restore.

Any suggestions on where to purchase tires?
I’m probably going to Toyo Open Country or MAYBE Yokohama Geolanders in 235/65/17. So more than likely, Firestone’s out of the question but I wanted to add that as a possibility.
I live in a small town with a Firestone and Ford dealership. I don’t care for Firestone’s service department due to past experiences. I had been buying my tires from Discount Tire but the closest one is about 40 minutes…
My main choices are Ford and Discount Tire. Are there any benefits to buying from Ford?

Has anyone else been rated by your BS. Mine gave me 93/100 claimed I brake to hard. When I went to swipe the page it all disappeared. Knot sure where it came from or prompted it.
SoCal or bust! Squatchy’s first road trip

In case you’ve wondered 4 of the Large InsatCrate 23”x16”x13” folding bins fit in the back with the seats up quite nicely. These things are the best. They fold up when not in use and come with…
Heading down to SoCal from Portland Oregon. Hitting Pinnacles National Park on the way down and Sequoia on the way back. Lots of Snow in Sequoia right now . It will be a bit more than 2000 miles round trip. Looking forward to stretching Squatchy’s legs a bit.

“Buzzing” noise in cabin.
It actually started a couple weeks ago, but it’s getting progressively worse. A “buzzing”, or high-frequency rattling, vibratory noise seemingly coming from the lower-right area of the windshield. It’s not speed-related, but definitely road surface quality related. Smooth as glass asphalt it’s dead quiet. The least imperfection in the road it’ll start bzzz-ing at me.
I can’t find any foreign objects in the dash-to-windshield crevice. Popped the…

I want a refund for winter
Second year in a row my paperwhites aren’t blooming.
Still, it may mean an early pool season, and given I just dumped $4K on a new filter and pump, I’d like at least one thing that pays off.
They’re calling for 90F/32C on Friday. It’s still February! I didn’t get the winter I paid for all summer long, and I want a refund.

Getting ready for March… Carrying 400 lbs of maple sap

Went out and checked the trails this afternoon, and the weather the past few days (rain and 40°) has made the hard packed snow trails a huge mess.
So, hopefully I don’t get it stuck in the trails once the snow fully starts to melt and everything turns to a mucky mess.

The bungee straps are probably going to be a temporary thing for now… that way it’s not…
Going to be using the bronco for maple sap collecting this year. Hopefully it does the job well enough.
