New Addition to my Fleet

Just picked up this 1983 Bronco 4×4. Came with a 8′ plow and salt spreader, too. Has a 351W, and looking under the hood can see that it’s had some stuff done. Looks to have a standard carb in it, maybe a 2150 (all the emissions wiring just sitting there unplugged), and has Edelbrock valve covers. Sounds pretty damned mean, too.

It has a couple issues that need to be resolved before driving it around more. Waiting for a somewhat warmer day before investigating because it’s below freezing…

Load Leveling Front Air Springs

So, while tinkering with my ’83, I found a Schrader valve on the driver fender under the hood. Traced the lines from it and found red air springs installed inside of the front coil springs. I assume this is front load leveling installed meant to help when the plow is attached, since that thing is super heavy. Anyone know a way to identify what springs they are? Or perhaps know of a writeup somewhere that details what would be needed to modify it to use a compressor mounted in the Bronco…

O2 wiring

I’m having issues with my O2 sensor wiring, I have a 1989 Ford bronco full size with the 5.0, I need to know these O2 sensors are wired up to the ECU, currently I have one that has its wires connected to some fuse next to the solenoid but nothing else for the second o2 sensor, basically i need help trying to wire them into my ecu from scratch thankyou

’86 Bronco II Won’t Start

I have a ’86 Bronco II, 2.9l v6, it won’t start.

The Fuel pumps are new and pump fuel. Pretty much everything to do with the sparks are new; distributer/cap/electronic ignition module, ignition coil, solenoid, battery.

I had it running good after a lot of new parts: starter, power steering pump, muffler, some shocks, power booster. The transmission was acting up so it sat for a few months. A friend of my dad’s did some work and fixed some gears and gaskets, and the transmission. Now it…

’86 Bronco II Won’t Start

1991 bronco nite. Light system

The headlights, cabin lights, and all rear lights went out when the vehicles lights when turned on. We’ve tried fuses and bad wiring and the switch was changed out. What could be some problems I can start looking for?
