New Bronco Member
Hello,
I live in Windsor, ON Canada. Not far from Ford Town where the Model T was built. We still have the engine plant here. I have always been a GM guy. Monza (first car) , Buick Regal, 85 Corvette, 2007 Solstice GXP and the very rare 2009 Solstice GXP Coupe. All are gone now. I was well known on Solstice Forum for about fourteen years.

In 2021 during the pandemic i decided that I wanted to learn to ride. Bought a 2006 Harley Davidson XL1200C without knowing how to ride. Did some serious…
Safety recall
Why is Ford’s rental amount set at $45.00 a day payout on safety recalls? When was the amount last reviewed? Wife took in the 2023 Bronco WildTrak for a scheduled safety recall repair today and do to the avg cost for a rental being $85 a day now, she had to set for hours at Todd Judy Ford waiting on a vehicle the amount Ford pays to become available.
Bronco windshield wiper problems
I have a new 2023 Bronco and when the wipers are on, after about a minute they slow down to the slowest delay setting. No matter how bad it’s raining and whether you can’t see, they slow down to once every 10 seconds or so. Extremely dangerous. The dealership has my car and they replicated the problem and said they’re had other Bronco complaints but won’t do anything about it because Ford told them the wipers are only supposed to work on the lowest delay setting in the rain, it’s a ‘design’…
’83 Bronco Tailgate Window Wires
After using a demo saw to finally remove the hitch-mount salt spreader, I was finally able to start investigating my Bronco’s issue with a stuck tailgate window. It’s looking like the sheathing for the driver side tailgate support cable dried out and split, exposing sharp edges. These sharp edges look to have sliced up the window wiring protective cover and the wire insulation, and the wires are badly rusted where the insulation was damaged. Would anyone know what gauge these wires are? I’d…
Headlight Bezel and Retainer Screws
I installed new headlights in my ’83 and found the screws for the bezels and retainers to be in fairly bad shape (had to throw out a few that got their heads stripped too easily). So, I was thinking that I ought to replace them. I was thinking to get either stainless steel of black oxide coated, but I’m not sure exactly what size screws these are. Can anyone tell me what size screws these all are and if they’re available in stainless or black oxide?

Starter Solenoid Wire
So, looking over my ’83, trying reconnect the starting circuit, I noticed that I cannot find the wire that’s supposed to activate the solenoid. In checking some diagrams, I understand that it should be a red/blue wire, but I can’t find it. And I don’t see any wires laying nearby that appear appropriate. So, before I make an attempt at running a new wire from ignition switch, can anyone guide me to where I should look for it, to trace its path? I figure I’ll likely need to wash some wires to…

New Addition to my Fleet
Just picked up this 1983 Bronco 4×4. Came with a 8′ plow and salt spreader, too. Has a 351W, and looking under the hood can see that it’s had some stuff done. Looks to have a standard carb in it, maybe a 2150 (all the emissions wiring just sitting there unplugged), and has Edelbrock valve covers. Sounds pretty damned mean, too.
It has a couple issues that need to be resolved before driving it around more. Waiting for a somewhat warmer day before investigating because it’s below freezing…
