New Bronco Sport Owners Break In Period

Congratulations to all the new Bronco Sport owners!!! Just wondering how you guys are doing during your 1,500 mile break-in period. Those that are trying to follow the break-in guidelines, are you avoiding freeways and taking side streets so that you are always varying your speeds?

Break-in suggestions for first 1,500 miles (compiled from the forum):

  • Don’t go over 80mph
  • Avoid exceeding 4000 rpms
  • No full throttle starts
  • Vary your speed frequently (don’t drive a constant…

2025 Rear Bumper Retrofit Research

2025 Rear Bumper Retrofit Research
Howdy all, similar to my swing out tie down thread this is consolidating some initial research on potentially retrofitting the 2025 rear bumper onto the first gen sports

Particularly, I’m excited about the fact that it has steel plating and that it has real rear recovery points. My badlands now has the front hooks obviously so I’m happy there, but using a tow point adapter for the rear isn’t nearly as clean as the built in hooks

Rhino Rack Pioneer installed on BL+BL

Since I haven’t seen too many mentions of Rhino Rack platforms on here I thought I’d post what I installed over the weekend. I wanted a lower profile platform rack that was still aluminum and light weight. Rhino rack has an option on their website for the BS but it runs the length of the roof and would cover the sunroof on my Badlands. After a lot of close measurements I figured I could mount the 52×49 and still have a full functioning sun roof. It’s close and took a little adjustment but…

Overtemperature Condition – Badlands

I had an annoying and potentially troubling issue happen with my new 2023 BS Badlands on a recent trip:

L.A. to Vegas trip, with approx. 1000 miles on the Odometer. I was trying to take it easy as per the engine break-in instructions, but at one point in the trip, going uphill on the freeway in approx 110 degree heat, I accelerated (pedal to the floor for a a few seconds) to pass someone and I got some engine temp / coolant warning, and saw that the engine temp had surged very high. The…

Stop & Go Traffic

Stop and go traffic is a great feature and seems to work pretty well, although I feel as though it stops too close to the vehicle in front, mine stops about 5 feet to the vehicle in front of me, is that normal?
I feel like it should stop leaving at least 2 cars length.
