MPG Issue Resolved
For the last year my 2006 Ford Escape Hybrid mileage dropped to about 18.2 mpg. The hybrid system was working properly so issue had to be related to the engine. I try to do DYI for most of maintenance, so with no codes I decided to replace my fuel injectors rather than clean them. After that, mpg increased to 24 mpg.- making progress but still not fixed. Keyless Entry Keypad – 2025 – Alternate Locaiton
I have seen many posts and videos of relocating the keyless keypad to the inside of the fuel door on the full size Bronco and it looks like that will work on the Sport. But I have concerns about fuel vapors messing with the electronics and shortening the life – not working just when you need it…
2025 models don’t have integrated keyless entry keypad anymore, and instead they have a dealer installed ugly plastic stick on box. I had the dealer not stick it on the door and just give it to me.

Engine Block Heater Recall (2021-2024 Bronco Sport)
It probably won’t affect to many owners. I am the 2nd owner and the BL’s 1st owner was in Idaho. Probably the reason for the engine block heater optioned on the vehicle. I found out the original owner has numerous houses around the country, and my BL was used in this location.
I’ve never plugged it in, and it doesn’t look like it was ever used.
So be watching for this in the future…

Washer Fluid Leak From Camera Nozzle
Noticed washer fluid leaking from the front camera nozzle of our 21 Badlands. Bought it new and have driven it 65,000 trouble free miles. We park it nose down and the nozzle may be a little worn so it siphons the tank empty. No check valve from the factory, there will be one on Friday.
How much should you spend on a car?
One of them said 105%. Seriously, bought a truck for over $100K and barely makes that much.
Mine was 17%. I feel good about that. 105% is almost criminal.
We see the crazy budget calcs that should your rent/mortgage should be like 30% or whatever of your income. I asked my small circle of friends, what percentage of their base salary (gross before bonuses) was their latest car out the door price.

The way that I’ve found to restore it:
- uninstall the app (via watch app on phone)
- restart both devices
- reinstall the app…
posting the new 6.0 update mostly because it initially broke the link to my Apple Watch app. on watch, the app disappeared from the watch face complication. though it appeared in the app bubble list, at first it said it couldn’t find/communicate with phone. then it talked to phone like normal. Still couldn’t get it to appear in the watch complication.
The way that I’ve found to restore it:
