Tennessee – Off Rodeo

I am about a month away from doing the off rodeo in Tennessee. Never done it before and I am looking for tips. I have the GoPro ready, mount purchased and I am ready to go. I have a add on driver going with me.

with that said, what tips can the group give me? Looking for tips and things you learned that you wish you knew before you went.

I’ll probably buy tires from Ford soon, any suggestions between these 4?

I’m at 4/32″ (or 4mm, they weren’t clear) on my OEM Continental tires. I’m looking at moving to 235/65/17s.

These are the 4 I’m looking at:

Tennessee vs Moab Off Rodeos

I live in VERY Northern California (Northern, rural Humboldt County to be exact). I live in the midst of Redwood trees, on a ranch, where my road floods every year. At least 1-2 days we are trapped, other days I do have to drive through some water or have downed trees.
I am taking my Bronco Sport camping and offroading in more wooded/trail type areas similar to where I live, in N. Ca, Oregon and Washington.

For those of you who have gone to these two Off Rodeos, which do you recommend…

2026 Badlands Adaptive Cruise Control question

The wife just got a 26 Badlands with Badlands Tech Package. Question on the Adaptive Cruise Control (probably applies to all Fords?).

On my Toyota, the adaptive cruise control keeps me at a distance and will automatically brake when I get too close to car in front or if car in front in slowing, regardless of whether the ADC is “active” (no speed set and shows white instead of blue on status displays).

On my wife’s new 26 Badlands, it looks like a speed must be set and status showing in…

Better Battery research for Badlands…hmm

So I know that most of my trucks came with an adequate battery when purchased new. I’ve always upgraded before battery was ending its’ service.
I usually get Optima because I use power inverters for tools when out up in the mountains.
I’ve read quite a bit of the battery posts here at the forum and there appears to be a possible problem with the stock battery in a premature time period.
So I figure I might as well start looking now and be ready. I found this posted on the net…

Unknown spring-loaded rotating device on exhaust (2.0 EcoBoost). What is this?

Hi everyone,

I was searching through previous posts but couldn’t find anything about this, apologies if this has already been discussed.

I recently had my Bronco Sport (2.0) up on a lift at a shop and took the chance to really inspect the underbody, there are a lot of interesting design details.

I came across this device on the exhaust that I’ve never seen before. It’s not electrical, and it appears to be a mechanical rotating mechanism with a spring that provides…

Suspension swap (Escape OEM shocks, springs, and struts)

My 2024 Big Bend suspension was so uncomfortable that I decided to replace it with Escape Suspension components. The daily street drive is way more comfortable. Easy and low cost suspension swap for those not happy with the stiff ride. Definitely reduces the off road capability but makes the daily drive way more comfortable.
