New to me Bronco Sport, not so new to Ford
2 weeks ago we bought a 23 Bronco Sport Outerbanks. 34k miles and quickly gave it a 500 mile trip. The wife loves it, so a few mods have begun. About 10 Forscan changes, then I had the front windows tinted to match the rears and have trimmed the OEM antenna (garage clearance) and last night I installed OEM splash guards. Cracked/Leaking Catalytic Converter, Out of Warranty, New Recall?
I have a 2022 OBX and it is out of warranty at 98,000 miles. Recently my catalytic converter developed a crack and is loud as hell and smells of exhaust from the engine compartment.
Recently on 2 of the FB groups a Canadian member posted a recall for Catalytic Converter issues. It extended the warranty to 240,000 kms (about 170,000 miles) and mentioned parts would be available by end of 2nd quarter.
Will this be extended to the US market? My current safety inspection expires…

Chip in Windshield
I remember when chips were rare, but they seem all too common today. Both my F150 and Bronco have chips in the windshield and we’ve replaced the windshield in Mrs. T’s Cherokee. I hope the chip doesn’t turn into a crack.
We’ve only had the Bronco since August and it only has 3000 miles on it. Now it has a chip in the windshield. A pickup going the other direction got us this morning.

Anyone ever had this code? Dealer is saying it’s $800 just to diagnose. I was thinking about changing the sensor myself first. TIA

Pre-Collision Alert?
There were a couple cars coming the other direction and one car waiting to enter the highway from a road on my right. None of them were a threat to cause a collision.
It happened far enough in advance that I could have avoided any collision that was imminent so that’s reassuring.

This was a first for me. We were driving on a two lane semi-rural highway at 60 mph when I got a pre-collision alert on the instrument cluster and an urgent sounding chime.
There were a couple cars coming the other direction and one car waiting to enter the highway from a road on my right. None of them were a threat to cause a collision.

Rhino Rack Pioneer Platform 6 does NOT FIT w/ moonroof (Rhino Rack is now changing their website)
I won’t be touching Rhino Rack ever again, after this. The website, instructions, customer support, and return process has all been a terrible experience.
On top of it they’re also still keeping $114 of my refund for “shipping”.

EDIT: Rhino Rack screwed up! Apparently when they designed and fit this, it was on a base model without a moonroof. See the below attached email.
