How does the 1.5 3 Cylinder Engine Do Up Big Mountains?
Hello, I am new to the forum. I was thinking about getting a newish Bronco Sport and I recently found out about the engine only having 3 cylinders. I go back and fourth from Phoenix then up a big mountain to Prescott, Arizona. It’s about a 1 hour drive each way and about 15-20 minutes of that is up that big mountain when going from Phoenix to Prescott. Had a leak in my coolant about a year ago. Ford came out and “fixed” the issue that I believe was paid for out of pocket. Fast forward to today and the issue is back and I have had to buy extra coolant or else it runs out in about 1-2 weeks. I called and made an appointment for it to be fixed again and I was told that they “recognize that they never fixed it right” but won’t cover the expense and I am supposed to pay again for an issue that was never properly taken care of. Found a used set on eBay with 17k miles on the donor car.
From everything I’ve read, it seems like a relatively straightforward process. I ordered two sets of rotors from work, because there is a 17” wheel setup and an 18” wheel setup that work with these calipers.
I figured I may need to swap out the wheels to a bigger set, so if I do, I’m going to buy the Wilwood dry bleed quick connects, so I can switch back to the OEM brake system in the…

I don’t have a problem with wind noise, but if there is something to lessen the noise, I’m for it. I don’t like what this guy did to lower wind noise. Anybody do anything else? You would think Ford would add a rubber trim in that gap.
