Happy Father’s Day! Show your swag.

I showed the luggage cross arms in my other thread but I added the basket today.
Prime Day Car Upgrade Checklist: What Are You Adding to Your Setup?
Snack crumbs, coffee spills, muddy footprints after the rain, dog hair, road trip mess, and all the random stuff that somehow ends up on the floor — it adds up fast.
With Prime Day coming up, I thought this was a good time to put together a simple car upgrade checklist for anyone planning to refresh their setup.
A few things worth checking before the deals start:

Crank Seal failure on a 2022 1.5L OBX
On Tuesday January 16th 2024 the crank seal blew out on my 2022 OBX with the 1.5L. The failure occurred while driving on the highway at 120kmh and at outside temps near -38°c. I did not notice this failure until I arrived at my destination and smelled oil through the vents. I popped the hood and seen oil everywhere, I then immediately shut off the car. The engine ended up leaking 2 litres of oil and no warning lights or bells came on to warn me. Oil then began dripping onto the ground. The…

Driving myself crazy
The latest quagmire in my head is lifting. I got a rough country 1.5 kit with the loaded front struts and rear springs. Was going…
Hi, new to the forum. I joined because everything I do with/to my new 2025 sport BB I drive myself nuts questioning if what I am doing is best for my new Bronco. Even just washing turned into a ton of questions ! My friend of 40+ years says thats typical me ! I traded my 69 mach 1 that I had for 30 years to get this bronco (long story ) so I want to do this right.

Passenger Air Bag Light Logic on Center Console

When the passenger seat is occupied by an adult, this light is illuminated. When the passenger seat is not occupied, the off light is illuminated. As my first ever Ford, this logic seems odd. An amber or yellow light typically means caution or alert, something is not quite right. With either of these lights burning in the amber/yellow spectrum, it throws caution to my brain. I was very confused, so I went to the owner’s manual and found…

Took my Badlands to the Maze District in Canyonlands National Park
The road to the campsite, however, was much more technical and challenging. It took me 2.5 hours just to cover the 14 mile distance from a junction to the Maze Overlook campsite. The…
Took my Badlands to the Maze District in Canyonlands National Park
Last month I took my BSBL to the Maze Overlook campsite in Canyonlands National Park. It is without a doubt the roughest, most remote road I’ve ever been on. I had a heard a lot about descending the Flint Trail to get there, but it wasn’t any worse than what I experienced on the White Rim Rd the year before.

Luggage Control
I’m thinking of using a small cargo net fastened to the four metal tie downs just above the floor of the cargo area to prevent this scenario. My thought was to connect the…
This summer I plan to do some travelling with my wife and two daughters who still live near us. It looks like the cargo area will be packed and the top level of luggage will start above the tops of the rear seats. I would hate to hit the brakes and launch a carry-on sized piece of luggage into the head of a passenger!

Now Recalls to Fix Prior Recalls Repaired Incorrectly
There are two new recalls for Ford vehicles to fix previous recalls that were repaired incorrectly. This one may apply to my 2017 F150. This has become more than tiresome Ford.

2021 Badlands RDU Saga
Took my wife’s bronco in to dealership with 47k with grinding/chattering noise. They did extended the vent tube and fluid swap. She said it seemed to fix it. 58k miles wife takes it in again for the grinding/chattering the tech says it’s the rear brakes making noise and that we can get new ones and it will go away. Now at 72,800 miles the sound comes back again 800 miles outside of our extended warranty. After 10 days of sitting waiting to be diagnosed this is what I got from the service…
