2023 BS Powertrain Malfunction/Reduced Power Message and will not shift into drive

Today my wife got a “Pre-collision Alert Not Available” message as she backed out of the driveway. She thought it might have to do with road film on the camera and headed to the car wash. After paying for the car wash she could not put the car in drive as the “Powertrain malfunction/reduced power message” flashed up and she was stuck! Needless to say she was panicked!
